The 2009 Local Matters Local Foods Week was a great success, thanks to our many partners! We reached over 25,000 plus people during this week and connected them with the work of Local Matters and the bounty of Central Ohio's local foodshed.
We are especially grateful to our event partners: We are also grateful to our “Sprout Sales” partners: A special thanks to WCBE for promoting the week on air and for their dedication to building and supporting our local community each day! We also want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the Local Foods Week Steering Committee for their commitment to planning and executing the week: Jeni Britton of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, Christian Deuber, Coexist Creative (the designer of our "Localicious" logo), Kimberly Allison, Donnie Austin, House Wine in Worthington, Randy Dupler, Dupler Office, Chuck Palmer, Consumer X, and Angela Stoll-Petro, Two Caterers. We would also like to recognize Sharon Perez, our Development Chair whose guidance and leadership were constantly on display. Big hugs to our board members and staff of Local Matters as well as our crew of volunteers! Please take a bow and accept this heartfelt “thank you” to each of you.

Let's go Green and Local
Sounds to me like you all had a great time last year and I for one look forward to joining you this year in October for your second annual Local Matters Local Foods Week! Most folks like eating locally produced fresh food from the area or nearby islands Praslin
Many people claim to be
Many people claim to be health conscious and yet make the same mistake of eating junk food. Healthy food is not just a term rather its about healthy living. Good food practices help you stay fit and energetic. Also organic fruits and vegetables are a great source of minerals, nutrients and you can find large amounts of anti-oxidants as well.
