Jeni Britton-Bauer and her husband, Charlie, opened Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams in 2002. What began as a small ice cream shop in the North Market has grown to three additional stores, with national and international shipping available. Jeni is a founding member of Local Matters, and an advocate for Columbus, entrepreneurship and community generosity.

Catherine Girves is a long time community activist and committed volunteer. She holds both a bachelor's of science in business and a bachelor's of arts in political science from The Ohio State University. She serves as the Director of the University Area Enrichment Association, a civic organization that assists community members in improving the quality of life in the neighborhoods surrounding The Ohio State University.

Rose McCarthy combines her 20+ years of corporate marketing and product development with her passion for assisting individuals and groups in awakening their intuition. She is the founder of Access Intuition, a consulting firm that helps business teams tap their collective insights to create product ideas, process improvement and marketing solutions. Rose has been part of Local Matters since 2007.

Ryan Morgan is the director of operations at brilliant, a not-only-for-profit insurance agency based in Columbus, OH. A nontraditional agent in a traditional industry, it's been alleged -- more than once -- he takes undue pleasure in disrupting the status quo. His MO: do meaningful work, get engaged, connect with others, work collaboratively and help others do the same.

David M. Scott is a commercial/business litigation attorney with Luper Neidenthal & Logan (“LNL”) and he was named a "Super Lawyer's Rising Star" by Law & Politics Magazine and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, comprised of litigators who have obtained a jury award or settlement in excess of one million dollars. David created LNL’s “Thinking Globally, Acting Locally“ campaign through which LNL became the first Ohio law firm certified as a Climate Challenge Partner by the ABA/EPA Climate Challenge, and the first law firm ever to win a SWACO Board of Trustees Emerald Award for “innovative and unprecedented achievements in environmental stewardship and leadership.”
