Aimee Riesenberg

Aimee is a values-driven advancement operations professional with 15 years of experience in higher education and nonprofits. She takes a collaborative approach to improving processes, managing projects, and strengthening relationships to drive lasting impact.

Currently, Aimee is Director of Donor Services at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she leads a team managing gift agreements, fund and pledge management, naming opportunities, and donor compliance. Previously, she was Donor Services Manager at The Trevor Project and held various roles at The Ohio State University, supporting fundraising campaigns, donor recognition, and operational improvements. She earned a Master’s in Educational Studies and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, both from The Ohio State University.

Aimee’s passion for cooking and reducing food waste led her to volunteer with Local Matters’ Ro’s Kitchen. She remains committed to Local Matters’ mission of building healthy communities through food education and access. Originally from Cleveland, she lives in Columbus with her husband, Greg. She enjoys cooking (especially Filipino-inspired recipes), exploring new restaurants, and traveling with friends and family.
