April 17 | Free Family Cooking Class with St. Stephen’s Community House
Learn how to make healthy meals through Local Matters’ hands-on cooking class in collaboration with St. Stephen’s Community House. Strengthen your skills and try new foods; no cooking experience is required to attend. Learn tips and tricks from cooking class facilitators as they walk you through recipes step-by-step. Each session is interactive and hands-on. You’ll have the chance to ask questions, learn nutritional information, and enjoy your finished meal.
Capacity is limited, and all seats are free thanks to sponsorship from Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition.
Location: St. Stephen’s Community House | 1500 E 17th Ave, Columbus, OH 43219
Time: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Menu: Stir-Fry Lettuce Boats with Veggies & Brown Rice
Note: St. Stephen’s will have their Mid-Ohio (free) Market open and available for anyone to shop for fresh produce from 12pm-6pm. Arrive early to pick up free produce and staples before class!
Parking: There is a free parking lot for attendees to use out front of the building. Please check in at the front desk when you arrive.
Things to note:
- We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes for safety.
- Every guest must reserve a spot in order to attend. If you plan to bring friends or family members with you, please reserve the number of spots needed for your entire party.
