March’s topic: Eating for Women’s Health. Celebrate Women’s History Month at the Local Matters office and strengthen your cooking skills and try new foods; no cooking experience is required to attend. Learn tips and tricks from cooking class facilitators as they walk you through recipes step-by-step. Each session is interactive and hands-on. You’ll have the chance to ask questions, learn nutritional information, and enjoy your finished meal.

Capacity is limited. We offer a number of no-cost tickets to ensure equal opportunity to our classes.

Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm | Doors open at 5:45pm
Menu:
Starter – Kale & Canned Beet Salad
Main – Coconut Curry Stew
Dessert – Sweet Potato Brownies

Things to note:

  • Doors open at 5:45pm and class begins promptly at 6pm.
  • We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes for safety.
  • Every guest must reserve a spot in order to attend. If you plan to bring friends or family members with you, please reserve the number of spots needed for your entire party.

Registration is based on a pay-what-you-can method, which allows participants to contribute what they’re most comfortable with.
