Mission Moments: Bringing fresh produce to a neighborhood near you

Local Matters’ Veggie Van markets are connecting neighbors to healthy, affordable food all summer long.

Every week, the Veggie Van hosts mobile markets with fresh foods and quality pantry staples. Shopping at the Veggie Van is a safe and convenient option for shoppers to grab their favorite fruits and vegetables while enjoying locally grown varieties at lower costs.

Having access to programs like the Veggie Van is critically important in the summer. Only 10 percent of children who receive free or reduced meals during the school year have access to a summer meal program, a statistic that underscores the dire need for a more connected and equitable food system.

How can you help support these efforts? Shop the Veggie Van, share our summer schedule with a friend, or make a donation today. We have plenty of markets to go this summer, and we’d love to see you out at a stop.
